Manuscript in a single hand containing copies of approximately one hundred poems. The volume opens with a complete copy of Robert Blair's The Grave; most of the poems are brief lyrical, descriptive, or occasional pieces, many relating to deaths, mourning and lost love. The volume concludes with a copy of verses read at the first anniversary of the Sailors Home Society held at Exeter Hall in 1831.
